School Programs

As part of our mission to educate visitors about the historical significance of the Huble Homestead and Giscome Portage, we offer two types of school programs for regional schools: on-site school tours and in-class educational presentations.

Historic Site Tours

Tours are available for school classes and daycare groups from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving. These tours are located at the Historic Site and include a tour and activities for the low cost of $3.00 per student. Book your tour online today, or contact us to discuss your questions.

Education Kits

From September to April we also offer free in-class educational programs. Our talented Education Coordinator will visit your classrooms to provide your students with a fun and unique look at Prince George's pioneer history. We have a number of kits available for presentation as well as self-directed kits available from the District Resource Center.
