In-Class Living History Presentation

These free, in-class presentations are possible thanks to the financial support of the Province of British Columbia. Please fill out one form for each presentation requested.

This form is compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. If you are having any technical difficulties, we would recommend using one of three browsers listed.

Please note that there are some program changes for the 2020-2021 year to accommodate COVID-19 safety precautions.

Huble Homestead reserves the right to refuse to book or conduct presentations if the following requirements are not met:

Before the Presentation:

  • Huble Homestead/Giscome Portage Heritage Society staff will provide in-class educational presentations only when its employees feel that it is safe to do so.

  • The teacher will provide the Society with information specific to their classroom set-up and safety guidelines (after completing a Presentation Booking Form teachers will be contacted to provide these details).

  • If the learning group is affected by a public health order, the teacher will inform Huble Homestead in order to re-book the presentation.

  • The presenter will complete the requirements of a daily health check before entering the school.

During the Presentation:

  • The presenter will wear a mask.

  • The presenter will comply will all in-school and in-class COVID-19 guidelines.

  • All program spectators must wear a mask. This includes students and supervisors.

  • Presentations will not include hands-on activities. Huble Homestead will instead provide the teacher with themed activities that may be done with the class after the presentation.

  • Safety requirements required by Society policy will be enforced during presentations.
