From Then to Now
Sunday, July 13 - 11:00am to 4:00pm
Discover the hidden behind the scenes of the historic site!
Every place has a story – head north to the homestead to learn ours! Scheduled as part of Historic Places Days, this event focuses on the site's journey from family homestead to historic site. Explore the displays, view old photographs, and take part in a special treasure hunt that will have you exploring the grounds and discovering a new fact about the restoration as you go.
Stop by the photo stations and replicate a Huble family photograph as best you can, peruse past photo albums in the Welcome Barn, and take a special behind-the-scenes tour that focuses on the restoration. Regular guided tours will also be available.
Afterwards, treat yourself to lunch, pie, or candy from the General Store.
Historic Places Days, running from July 11 to 20, is a national event that focuses on increasing visitation to historic places all over the country; these places not only enrich the lives of visitors young and old, but also open the door to discovering new places.

Huble Homestead Historic Site is a 30 minute drive north of Prince George, BC. Leave the city behind and make your way up Highway 97 for 40 kilometres, before turning off on Mitchell Road to continue another 6 kilometres down a well-maintained dirt road.
Huble Homestead is dog friendly and open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm for guided tours and shopping in the General Store. Enjoy a picnic or purchase lunch from the BBQ as you relax in the fresh air. Admission is by donation, with a recommended amount of $10.00 per family.
