Scavenger Weekend

Saturday, September 23 & Sunday, September 24 - 10:30am to 4:00pm

Take advantage of the great outdoors before fall is over, and winter hits!

Get a group of friends together, or get in some family bonding time by taking on this self-guided activity that will have you exploring the homestead while the leaves change colour in the background. This won’t be your average list of things to find – you’ll also have to complete a number of tasks before officially declaring yourself done!

Keep yourself warm by roaming the site and enjoying a hot drink while you do. Pack a picnic, or purchase lunch from the BBQ, and spend a few hours of your Saturday or Sunday at the homestead working at your own pace to complete the challenge!

Huble Homestead Historic Site is a 30 minute drive north of Prince George, BC. Leave the city behind and make your way up Highway 97 for 40 kilometres, before turning off on Mitchell Road to continue another 6 kilometres down a well-maintained dirt road.

Huble Homestead is dog friendly and open weekends in the fall for guided tours and shopping in the General Store. Enjoy a picnic or purchase lunch from the BBQ as you relax in the fresh air. Admission is by donation, with a recommended amount of $10.00 per family.

We acknowledge the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia.
