Monday, October 14 - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Help us give thanks for another great season by joining us for a Thanksgiving celebration!

Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving

Push away from the table and take a break from the turkey by heading out to Huble Homestead to enjoy the fresh, fall air! Bundle up and enjoy the crisp conditions outdoors, then warm up with a cup of apple cider or hot chocolate, or by roasting marshmallows for s'mores at the fire pit.

Enjoy the musical stylings of The Ebbs and the changing colours of the leaves while you enjoy a hamburger or hot dog from the BBQ or sample either smoky corn chowder or sweet potato soup from the special Thanksgiving menu. Early risers can enjoy pancakes from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM as well. Treat yourself to dessert and indulge in a slice of apple, pumpkin, or strawberry rhubarb pie.

Bring the family out and enter the scarecrow making competition, with prizes being awarded to the crowd favourite, the staff favourite, and the most creative!

Enjoy bobbing for apples in the barn and try your hand at leaf printing! Site tours will be available for those wanting to learn more about the history of the homestead!

Enjoy the fall colours outside while participating in old-fashioned games, or enjoy a rousing game of croquet or horseshoes on your own. Take on the special Thanksgiving treasure hunt that will take you all over the site! Take part in heritage demonstrations by watching the blacksmith hard at work in his shop, helping turn the crank while making ice cream, and shaking the jar to make butter! Kennedy will be demonstrating the fine art of jam-making as well!

Finally, don't miss your last chance to shop in the General Store, and take advantage of our season-end 10% off sale! It's the perfect opportunity to get a jump on your holiday shopping!

Huble Homestead Historic Site is a 30 minute drive north of Prince George, BC. Leave the city behind, and make your way up Highway 97, before turning off on Mitchell Road to continue another 6 kilometres down a well-maintained dirt road. Huble Homestead is dog friendly.

We acknowledge the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia.
