Help us give thanks for another great season by joining us for a Thanksgiving celebration!
Push away from the table and take a break from the turkey by heading out to Huble Homestead to enjoy the fresh fall air! Bundle up and enjoy the crisp air in the morning, then warm up with a steaming cup of apple cider or hot chocolate, or by roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. With the warm fall we've been having, you might find yourself peeling off a layer!
Enjoy the music of Genevieve Jaide in the afternoon while admiring the changing colours of the leaves. Indulge in a warm bowl of chili or borscht from the Thanksgiving menu, or a hamburger or hot dog from the BBQ. Early risers can enjoy pancakes from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, then treat yourself to dessert with a slice of apple or strawberry rhubarb pie. As an added bonus, we'll also have whole pies for sale if you need one for your own feast!
Bring the family out and enter the scarecrow making competition, with prizes being awarded to the crowd favourite, the staff favourite, and the most creative! Enjoy a game of croquet or horseshoes, try the stilts, and take part in heritage demonstrations such as butter and ice cream making!
Make a paper or pompom pumpkin in the barn to decorate your table and explore the grounds with our self-guided treasure hunt that'll have you roaming the site! Site tours will also be available for those wanting to learn more about the history of the homestead. Finally, don't miss your last chance to shop in the General Store - get a jump on your Christmas shopping or stock up on candy, and take 10% off all store merchandise (excluding food)!
