Take on the task of solving the case at everybody’s favourite homestead!
Calling all amateur sleuths! It’s time to put your basic investigatory skills to use at the homestead by taking part in this fun and inexpensive activity that’s great for groups.
Trapper Carl Oscar Fris is spending the summer months working as a prospector north of the Giscome Portage. He's managed to misplace his fur samples and all the money he made last winter - can you help him find it? Gather your team, sharpen your wits, and get ready to crack the case!
Make your way to General Store to get your first clue and work at your own pace to find Carl's stash – don’t worry, the staff will be on hand to help with hints and pointers! The event kicks off at 11:00 AM, and visitors are welcome to start at any point throughout the day until 3:30 PM. No registration required!
This self-guided event, which we would describe as an outdoor escape room, starts at 11:00 AM, and you have until 4:00 PM to finish. Visitors are welcome to start at any point throughout the day until 3:30 PM. Registration is not required and magnifying glasses are optional!
If you're looking for a tougher challenge, consider registering for the Sherlock Challenge!

Huble Homestead Historic Site is a 30 minute drive north of Prince George, BC. Leave the city behind and make your way up Highway 97 for 40 kilometres, before turning off on Mitchell Road to continue another 6 kilometres down a well-maintained dirt road.
Huble Homestead is dog friendly and open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm for guided tours and shopping in the General Store. Enjoy a picnic or purchase lunch from the BBQ as you relax in the fresh air. Admission is by donation, with a recommended amount of $10.00 per family. We're closer than you think!
